Centuries ago you were light
The one I couldn't believe
A mystery within the white
The song I couldn't sing
Your light turned red when times got tough
But I remained your rock
You beat and cursed me to make me leave
But I was too stuck
Slowly the light turned to dark
While your life was thrown to hell
The God that was supposed to help
Cut you and took the light
Today your wings are bandaged and broken
With only me to mend
You tell me you're here to make my life heaven
But instead you've made it hell
My own personal hell
One I cannot escape
The torture of seeing your light leave
And your passion wasted on the dark
But no matter what happens my love
Though my wings may be small
I'll do what I can to give you light
My passion fades them all
