Change Poem by Xavier Pinedo

Change

You think...
About how things go
About how they flow
Traveling around, sneaking
Seeking for a new high and low
We can be
Who we choose to be
See...
Me... You
People can be so stereotypical
How typical
Hypocritical
Don't like an animal
Be you
You and I
Us two
It all would start out new
If only we knew
About the 'fam-friend' ties
If we knew to realize the truthful lies
(Hmph) Ain't it funny?
How the hellos and goodbyes
Turn to the lions tiger and bears
Oh my
Fairy tale
We've never been through that
As much as a dog chases it's tail
Round and round
We all go
Either college bound
Or jail bound
It's not like the Mounds
It's not sweet
It's not sour
It ours
Like towers
Don't fall, watch for the sharks
They bite
With all the might
Their ego makes them seem so right
Naturally
But their wrong
It's as writing a song
Listen to the lyrical
Beautiful
Melodic and powerful
Words...
Taken for a joke
Taken to make
Or break
Love and hate
Confiscates my mind
From that of what challenges me and time
Like being locked in the crate
In that range
One day
Just one single day
There will be
A moment of change
