Changes Poem by Nisho Olme

Changes

One summer day my heart gave way,
When white met black and night met day,
And all at once the world was grey,
The day that spring met fall.
Love fell apart, love hurt my heart,
When laughter lost the will to start,
Another day we've been apart,
And then I lost it all.
Each season change I stayed the same,
Still trapped inside an endless game,
Still burrowed in the picture frame,
And all I feel is pain.
A perfect life that went so wrong,
I think of as the day grows long,
And watch the weak defeat the strong,
Beneath the cold blood stain.
She ran away, she never stopped,
She left a hole and watched me drop,
And now I know it was too late,
The day I fell in love.
