Chaos Poem by Nitum Jain

Chaos

Hot fire spewing through
Frustrations-built burst forth
Old bridges broken, new formed
Tarrying the journey of my mind
Broken, lost, gasping for breath
Worn, torn, clasping the heart
I continue tumbling down the lane
To seek the peace I know not
Crying, hating, loathing everyone
Cursing, hurting and trusting no one
Life turned to war before me
A struggle to save my un-armoured spirit
A battle silent like a graveyard ensues
Where thoughts fight noiselessly
And one by one fall to the victors
Burying themselves six feet under
Stranded, Marooned, left in the sea of madness
Ousted, defeated, deceived by my own
Revenge was sought, revenge was taken
And so I continue to do my wrongs
Every alleyway brings new hope
Every dead end crushes it brutally
Yet it persists like a festered wound
Bringing upon this sadistic pleasure
The inferno is burning everyone
And most it burns me
My mind, my body, my heart is scorched
I let it burn to avenge my already charred soul.
