Chapter One: Murderers Poem by Kamar Hammond

Chapter One: Murderers

I take a step out the front door
I take a step out the back door
Sitting on the roof and now I see
How murderers really be

We want to know what love's for
They wont tell the truth anymore
Shoot us down we soar
Give nightmares and dreams bring no more

That's how murderers really be

They want to make the youth stupid
Dem murderers
Don't tell the truth about our roots
Dem murderers
Killing us slow with conviction
Dem murderers
Turn dem backs when we need help
Dem murderers

That's how murderers really be

...
Song un-finished, will be soon.

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
'Murderers' is a reggae/spoken word song I began working on. Its objective is to announce what I feel about people, certain situations, government, family, etc that is killing our up and coming youth. Silence is deadly, lies are the red carpet to taming our youth and without knowledge how will they make their dreams come true. Murderers are that which is NOT nourishing you, I, them, US for the benefit of better days and a future.
