Charished Moments Poem by dale garris

Charished Moments

we keep oursevles in little jars like single orbits of unknown planets revoling around a nonexistent sun. we fall in and out of love. time is a constant reminder of agining skin, an eroding earth, life slowly slipping away.
Embracing charished moments with handfulls of photographs and unwritten memories.
the pages are like footsteps in the sand, and footsteps are like heartbeats, and sand is like paper, and paper is like skin.
and touch is imparitive.
like intervals of colaboration and solid minds. WE fill the holes
and we indulgde.
The paper is like skin, and touch is impairitive again.
perspective color and starched fingers gripping metaphoric shovels.
we fill the HOLES
with imagination and colored pencils. trying to fit in trying to find a way thruogh the trees, and trees are like confusion and confusion is a vast forest engulfing our world covering it's ground with dirty leaves
and leaves are like words and words are usually hollow unless it's tree is nourished true.
and trueth is like the SUN, and the sun is like GOD in the eyes of a tree
.AND LOVE
