A tweet from the past, brought back to light,
Charlie Kirk's words, in black and white.
Not for deer in woods, nor fear at night,
The Second Amendment, in his own sight.
Not just for safety, a personal plea,
But something bigger, for you and for me.
Against a power, that might disagree,
With freedoms held, for all to be free.
A government straying, from the righteous track,
Turning its back, on the citizen's pack.
The right to respond, to turn the tide back,
With arms in hand, against the attack.
The right to defend, if shadows descend,
And tyranny's grip, starts to bend,
The promise of freedom, until the end,
On the Second Amendment, we still depend.
