Chase The Smile Poem by O. C. Woods

Chase The Smile

With haste I try to climb the ladder
to fill the lack of Sunshine in days told darker
the diamond quest for an answer to find
when grey fades out to greet my mind.

When in need to find or achieve
the search stays stuck on Nightmare's sleeve
cold lightless days spend chasing the warmth
words as weapons erased in seconds and depth.

I've roamed the mazes of places told vile
trying to find the way to reach Sunny Lights Royal
opened the mirrorbox to catch reflections to pile
she sings to look up and chase The Smile.
