Chasing After You Poem by Katherine Bryce

Chasing After You

I'm leaving,
just look by the door,
there my bags sit
packed and ready to go.
You can't stop me,
from reaching my dreams,
it's my life to live.
Before I did see you,
in my future
but now I don't know who you are.
I miss who you were,
I loved the person you were,
but just look at you now,
who you have become
now tell me,
what reasons have I to stay?
I write you this little note,
just because I don't have the heart
to say it face to face,
I'm truly going,
anywhere but here.
I miss you,
the you I once knew,
but now look at all we've been through.
Who was that man that was there,
because I know for certain,
it wasn't you.
So,
good-bye for now,
is all I have left,
I just know,
I need to find
the me I lost,
chasing after you.
