Chasing Lullaby Poem by Chester Maynes

Chasing Lullaby

We merry at night
Under the lamp of
The million stars
And the Milky Way
Of this Moving Earth

We listen to
The virgin hum
Of mysteries in
Chasing lullaby
Whisper each other
Immaculate words of
I love you
I love you

We brush our lips
These kisses charm
And we taste
More than lollipops
Come morning
Our bed still
On pillows and blankets

We are one soul
Love is from God
Harm is far away
Ours is a hedge of protection
This chasing lullaby
This inseparable refrain
Of love, and we love our both
