Chastity Poem by Pradip Saikia

Chastity

A flaming light
Dancing
At the hub of the night

Will soak you
That day
When

Crushed pillars
Giraffe statuettes

Will crane their necks
To look at
In their sleep

The deity of love
Wearing stone necklace
Will murmur

Come
Imbibe some ale

And
Set sail with your boat
In the mist
