Cheers, Darlin' Poem by Harlequin Rose

Cheers, Darlin'

Here's a toast darlin'
to you and the woman
you're flaunting in front of me
and just so you know honey
there's still a little bit of your ghost
haunting me
Cheers, darlin'
to the tears you don't cry
thank you baby
for the kiss you used to wipe my eyes
Cheers, sweetheart
for the way you never could love me
please don't throw yourself like that
in front of me
here's to the dance she does for you
when the samba plays
and here's to the look in your eyes
when she touches you that way
and when you mention her name
I have to look away
in an attempt to hide my tears
I've got years to wait for you here
until the day you reappear
darlin', cheers...
