Cherokee Elemental Love Poem by Paige Sisemore

Cherokee Elemental Love

The wind it whips
here and there
it dances with us
as we go everywhere.

The ground it holds me
at my soul.
Its just the same,
some gaps and holes.

The water falls
not knowing its direction.
Just like me
without your protection.

The fire consumes
and burns the night.
You are my ember,
you are my light.

Without one
there is no other.
I'll share my world
with you, my lover.
