Cherry Red Bow Poem by Vanessa Bucher

Cherry Red Bow

Thwack!

I smile and nod as I raise it again.

Thwack!

Another bulls eye, another arrow.

Thwack!

My cherry red bow sings as I release another arrow.

It finds itself in the center of the target.

Thwack

Calm gallops through me like a herd of horses.

I look down at my beloved bow,

It's hard to believe I ever lived without it.

Thwack!

It lets me think,

Let's me unwind.

It's amazing how one thing can have such a huge effect.

Thwack!
