For me the perfect Valentine
Will dress in jeans and such...
Will enter with giggle,
And bless me with her touch.
Will dance her way into my heart,
And introduce me to
A world where younger souls reside,
A place that once I knew.
She’ll sparkle in the mornings gray,
And light my afternoons.
She’ll teach me novel games to play,
And sing to me her tunes.
Her smile will transform bleakest times
To festive enterprises.
She’ll fill my melancholic days
With glorious surprises.
Who could be low within her realm?
Most certainly not I.
If I could stay in her milieu,
Then surely I would try,
But times together are too short,
And distance stretches long.
I cling to dreams and memories,
And echoes of her song.
