Chimes Poem by Hannah Hutchins

Chimes

I still remember that wonderful night,
When you kissed me goodbye.
I didn't know you might,
We were both a little shy.
I can still feel your soft lips,
When they finally became one with mine.
On my cheek were your fingertips,
And my ears filled with chimes.
I wish it didn't have to end,
But I desperately had to go.
Our time started to bend,
But you whispered, 'No.'
I held your hands tight,
Then slowly let you go...
