I love thinking
with ideas so far reaching
visualizing goals and desires manifesting
but as the demons of poetry run wild in my bloodstream
propelling voices in my mind to speak volumes
I am left stranded in an age of shallow thoughts.
I love understanding
I am a disciple of clarity
a lifetime spent leaning into the quiet
I summoned the prophets of the mind—the sages, the professors, the architects of tomorrow—and they answered with a brilliant fire
yet, with all this ancient alchemy at our feet
why do our wings remain bound to the dust?
The throats of this age are choked by hate
hunger dines at the tables of the great
we march to the drums of tribal pride
watching the tides of immigration collide
Care has grown cold, a forgotten art, as systematic cruelty dissects the human heart.
I love to think
I love to understand
But I think l still don`t undertsand
Who are we and where are we heading to.
