I lay here alone
My thoughts on you
And as I think back
I remember seeing you the first time
And how my heart felt complete
Knowing you would be forever mine
I remember the first kiss
Feeling like I could fly
You changed my life forever
Taking away my wish to die
Rethinking it with a wish to live
To seeing the sun rise and fall
To waking up with your arms around me
To knowing someone so wonderful,
So amazing could ever love a wretch like me
Love a heart so broken
Here I am now, writing this
Knowing how truly lucky I am
That you chose me.
