Christine And John Poem by John Sensele

Christine And John

My fountain of love oozes
When my brain by default chooses
Romance over grumbling
At times my feelings fumbling

I restrain from my eyes joy tears
Although inside of me wander weirs
I hold in check
Lest my peck

Should vanish for a while
As my spouse withdraws the extra mile
I imbibe at home
When as one we roam

Moments of delights in the past
When our young hearts cast
Caution to the wind
Feasted as strictures we weaned

Thrilling as one
Healing we won
Bonding together
In manners perfect altogether.
