Christmas Poem by paddy jansen

Christmas

before you read on i need to say
don't let this destroy a wonderful day
another wonderful dream could be shattered apart
because of a story told by a guy and his dark heart

once a year there's a magical day of joy and fun
where snow is glistening in the morning sun
and children are as happy as they can be
with gifts from a magical man underneath the tree

some people will be as fake as they can be
just take a good look around and you will see
they will smile and pretend to be kind and nice
from the shadow i observe them telling lies

i hear them lie to the ones they love
there cold like the snow that falls from above
traces disappear in the snow that falls from the sky
while following them i can't stop to wonder why

why won't they just be honest and fair
it proves that even on this day they don't care
they talk about the day there finally free
while they look for a christmas tree

on the way home they concieve there plan a game
there plan is messed up and will make him go insane
a game of kidnapping at the christmas store
a stranger grabbed the boy that screamed from his core

he stopped running after the boy cried for a while
and returned the boy to his mother who had a big smile
while the boy cried she laughed out loud
and told him be quiet there's no need to shout

scared to death he held his mothers hand
she explained the stranger was a family friend
come inside the store with me
and u can pick the christmas tree

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
it actually was meant as a nice christmas poem but somehow while wirting it it changed and became a poem to let people consider there actions and remember them how blind they are when they do things that seem fun to them
