Christmas Carol Poem by Hasan Maruf

Christmas Carol

Morning light blushes through the mist at the dawn
As, the thunders of wintry woe over the spaces wan.

Hushed, the trees are yawning in moon blanched night
Water droplets lace into the leaves in the floral sunlight.

O what do you smell in the cuddly radiance of December?
Yes, the celebration of Christmas! Echoing a cry of rupture!

When the church bell chimes, the heart dances with gay
Why do you ask that I swerve and sway on such a day?

With the blessings of mother Merry, shall you but rejoice?
In dresses bright and the cake arrived; with endless choice

Under the heaven; the children play snowball with lilting laughter
Let us spread the teaching of Jesus; to serve the needy for hereafter

Decorate your villa with wanton ambiance of glowing tree
Let us sing the benediction in unison with solemn glee

With boxes beaming with gleaming gifts, the saint Santa appears-
O the heart is pleased; pleased with room full of bounties and cheers

Let the Christmas be happy; our earth be dappled with light
Let our muffled heartache be melted into the sea of delight.
