Christmas Carols Long After New Years Poem by ART PAUL SCHLOSSER

Christmas Carols Long After New Years

There's Something coming from a sterio nearby
Like the wrapping paper that fell out of the dumpster floating in the sky
Is it a Bird?
Is it a plane?
No, It's Santa Claus and he's coming to town
It is somewhat out of place
Like an off key erry sound
Like the Easter Bunny giving you Valentines
Or a Leprechaun on the 4th of July
Is it confusion to your clever mind?

Christmas carols long after New Years
Like stale eggnog in the refrigerator
Or a fruit cake that is hard and taste weird
Something makes you want to say
When will you go away?

Christmas carols long after New Years
Like lemonade in winter
Nothing seems so unconventional
As a never ending very annoying Christmas carol
