Christmas On The Coast Poem by Eric Russell

Christmas On The Coast

I got my package, yes I did
I sure miss you and all our kids.
Not much to do but work and play,
and think of you most everyday.
It's sometimes hard to concentrate,
Getting closer to his birthdate.
This Christmas will be harder than most
because of what happened on our Coast.
As most of us are reminded of Job,
That we all must keep our Faith and our Hope.
And we all must keep up our chin,
and take time to celebrate him.
For Jesus should be the reason,
that we all observe the season.
