Chumpley Poem by bob barci

Chumpley

I'm going crazy in a study dorm,
with loud, smokey, country music on my right,
and a never ending alarm clock on my left.
If only the dorm people were as open as they claim
then maybe, some day soon, I'd be sane again.
But until this happens,
I'll be slowly, but surely, going crazy in a study dorm,
with trippy people hysterically laughing at every move the
straight ones make,
and a hustler who's a hit at the Holiday Inn.
Weird howls when the moon is full,
makes me wonder if there's one every night.
Ol' Helium Harry is comin' my way
and Jack Daniels visits every night.
I'm goin' crazy in a study dorm
with lots of bubbly I cannot resist.
Where is Moses when I need to be saved?
My God! She's insanely singing!
What's goin' on with these people?
We study everything but the books.
I guess we're all crazy in this here study dorm.
