In eternity centuries,
years and days,
in eternity a flash;
a single glare,
and blood, and bone;
in a flash an eon.
And a flash in hours
and in long days,
a flash in us,
in you, in me,
and we, carried by it,
uplifted, we flee.
In eternity centuries,
years and days,
in eternity we;
and life and death,
and joy and pain,
heart and brain.
And I live for the flash,
for the ray of sun,
your gaze and breath;
and I live for eternity
when with you, I trust,
I'll be sharing dust.
