I've turned the page.
A clean paper before me lay;
it smiled, innocent and white
as if it was about to say:
And you would want to be a poet,
new ideas to empower,
worlds unknown to discover,
sun and rain with verse admire,
reach the skies and even higher;
You would want. But would you dare,
would you care fear to spare,
come out here to share a fight?
I am awaiting, clean and white.
I haven't read the original poem but if this translation is so beautiful how much beautiful the original poem would be.
Love this, Zoran. It takes courage to share what you've got in you for the benefit of human kind, in spite of the fears buried within.Thanks for sharing.
An insightful rendition, well conceived and nicely penned with conviction. Thanks for sharing Zoran.
Part 2- -Regardless of his identity, Zoran is a magnificent poet. From the first grab-your-attention line to the last, the reader is compelled to keep reading, keep savoring, keep reflecting on this poem. 10++++++++++++
I am confused! ! ! A not unknown condition. I read that this a translation of Zoran's poem. So I searched to find out who he was. Ask answered and told me he was a Coca-Cola HBC has appointed a 21-year veteran of the company, Zoran Bogdanovic, as its new CEO. Bogdanovic, who joined the Europe and Nigeria bottler in 1996.. He could still be a poet, I suppose, but I wouldn't mind being pointed in the correct direction.
Thank you for clearing this matter up for me! ! ! Now I won't be thinking about having a Coke while enjoying your poetry! ;)
Part 2 - I love languages being fascinated by the infinite ways in which thoughts, feelings and life situations can be expressed, where a slight change in wording can affect the very meaning and the mood of the ideas it conveys. I write poetry in Serbian, English and to a lesser extent in French. So much for now, best regards for you.
Hello Susan, I am flattered to learn that you enjoy reading my poetry. Let me clarify doubts about my identity. I am definitely not a Coca-Cola executive. To be honest, I don't think I'd be a very good one. I am an architect. I've spent time in Paris in my twenties as a painter and a portrait artist. Afterwards, I've lived in the States for many years.
This poem has not been translated into any other language yet.
I would like to translate this poem
Zoran, such an inspiring poem👍👍👍
