Circle In The Drain Poem by Balint Nagy

Circle In The Drain

These nights it feels like
Feels like I am barely living
Feels like I'm stuck here
Drowning without forgiving

Waking up without an aim
Opened up my eyes, everything's the same
Once again, circle in a drain
As I realized nothing's ever gonna change

I keep on waiting, while the hope keeps fading
Every step I take has no meaning
I try to escape it, but there's no remedy
Just the shadows of who I used to be

I spent this whole time lining my own pockets
Lined them until they were so full
Seems like I'm so pushed, but worn down to sockets
I should have listened to you

Waking up without an aim
Opened up my eyes, everything's the same
Once again, circle in a drain
As I realized nothing's ever gonna change

I keep on waiting, while the hope keeps fading
Every step I take has no meaning
I try to escape it, but there's no remedy
Just the shadows of who I used to be

Welcome to the place where words mean nothing
Truth is nowhere, while the lies keep coming
Time has stopped in this fucking ghost town
Now am I ready to shut down?

I keep on waiting, while the hope keeps fading
Every step I take has no meaning
I try to escape it, but there's no remedy
Just the shadows of who I used to be
