Clankety Clank Poem by Lady Serpenthelm

Clankety Clank

Rating: 5.0

Clankety clank, Clankety clank, the sounds of the chain break the silence of the night.
As I lie here, an agent of the night. I see a flame from a distance that still burns bright.
The flame is restless but restrained, tied down with ball and chain.
As I lie here, protected by a mask, manufactured of pride and dignity it protects me from the past.
And so I lie here, an agent of the night whilst in the distance the flame burns bright.
