Cleansing Rain Poem by Harrison Fairchild

Cleansing Rain

Come forth O falling watery purifier
Fall down upon me
Cleanse me of my sins
Make pure, make me clean

Wash away my earthly desires
My crimes of the flesh
Douse this burning yet corrupted fire
Wash away the Greed, lust, and all the rest

O Wondrous God
He who resides
In his kingdom in the sky
Please hear my cry

Send forth the rain
Call forth the rain
To rain down on the earth
To wash away all the burdens and the pain

To drown the suffering
The tears and sorrows of yesterday
To call forth
The radiant sun on the next day

Can hear me world
To all men and women
Little boys and girls
The rain has stopped
Becasue it has cleanse the world
