Clear As Day Poem by Morrigan Canis MacBryde

Clear As Day

I never asked for this
An ultimatum placed before me
'Accept this divergence or
Move along'

And to me, for me, you ask for death
You prey on my home and my kin
You prey on my safety and sin
You pull demons from within

The purpose to say I'm the heathen
Here this is derogatory
Aren't you ashamed?
Shouldn't you be...?

The poison you feed is the action
The honeypot you've been breeded for
Will take any lion within it
And will only consume

So lay the poison on thick
Slip it in his ear
So that the second he feels trapped
He'll snap

The Grecian ending is what you fear
For Heracles killed his wife
And their unborn child in a blind rage
And Maegara is truly a demon.

First of the furies for a lover scorned
And left for dead, and yet
You plague me with that fate, even so
When you cannot hold it yourself.

Home wrecker, aphrodisiac letter
Plague your own home, these walls
Do not recognize your power.

For someone disparate on illusion,
You sure use them frequently.
No guise can deter the transaction
Of you true nature, in time it will be.

Your aura you say is clear.
How's your conscience faring, dear?
Ready to come clean?
Or does the carousel have within it
A perpetual motion machine?

Play your cards right
And your wishes are granted.
Supposedly.
And then what?

End your life with the strife
You worked so hard to build.
Follow in the footsteps of all before
Openness cannot be forced.

Least of all from a mask wearing, home wrecking, brain washing whore.
