Clear Image Poem by Barbara Randall Clark

Clear Image

I look at her reflection
and I weep
A newly defined slave
What does it profit her
To be patient?
She is ignored
Unacknowledged
Untouched
Unloved
She sleeps by a stranger
Angered by her acceptance of his indifference
Rationalizing is not enough
What a pity
To die
Having never lived!
