Rating: 5.0

Grandma's Rose One day when I was searching
Through my childhood souvenirs,
I found a tiny little seed
From my Grandma so dear.

She gave it to me long ago,
When I was only five.
She said "Now, Kassy, keep this
As long as I'm alive".

"When the angels come to call
And to Heaven I must go,
Plant this tiny little seed,
And a lovely flower will grow."

Many years have come and gone,
Since Grandma went away,
But when I found that little seed,
I planted it that day.

Now as I sit and reminisce,
That lovely flower still grows,
Underneath my widow sill,
I call it, "Grandma's Rose."
