Cling

Why do I
Cling
To sorrow
When I am in fact
Confronted by joy?
Is it because
Sorrow is
The last remnant I have
Of him?
Of our love?
That to completely be happy,
Is to completely forget?
My heart refuses
To let go
This soon
And would rather
In sadness
Dwell.
