While the psychiatrists talk and talk
The clinicians treat, then take a walk
The surgeons draw on the patients with chalk
The pathologists routine is never ad-hoc!
The pathologists go home feeling happy
the surgeons go home feeling grumpy
The pathologists perform genetic testing
the patients' families get early warning
Standing tall in gleaming white coat
Clinicians do rounds on patients they dote
Reading samples, pathologists devote
At times too many, but no time to gloat
Looking intensely through microscope
At times, Pathologists are unable to cope
When diseases are complex, they cannot mope
Giving timely diagnosis is what they hope
Mixing blood, serum or body secretion
Pathologists discover genetic mutation
Clinicians receive the news with elation
The case can now be written for publication!
Staying-up late to see experimental curve
On herbal, cancer and cardiovascular reserve
Diabetes, psychosis and sciences on nerve
Genetic motifs they have, pathologists observe
There are many chores pathologists do
Using microscope studying cells and tissue
Autopsy, frozen section are never an issue
Glamour is not, what they usually pursue!
