Cloaked Poem by Desiree Whitamore

Cloaked

don't make this easy
i want you to mean it
i want you to tell me
i want you to need me.

i know i was the ticket
to get you from there
i know you were in it
for me to just care.

it wasn't that hard
i didn't call you a liar
but i know who you are
you gamble with desire.

the mirror holds your faces
your favorite dress up clothes
you've been to many places
they've all been under cloaks
