Clockwork Poem by Kriztan Rei Palces

Clockwork

The world has turned its back on you
A truth that puts you in a paler hue
You've become an expendable being in the world's ecosystem
But remained a significant piece in my clockwork mechanism

Your world has left you coated with rust
And there you hid behind the cobweb and dust
Hugging your knees, thinking all is unjust
And the damage dealt rendered you unable to trust

For long, i've searched for you, my unique idler
The missing piece needed by the watchmaker
The only gear crafted to match the driver
And i never thought i'd found you sulking in the dumpster

Now let me hold your hands, let the gears collide
And you'll know when our hearts and minds coincide
That you may be of no value to the world as you see
But still, you are worth more than the world to me
