You say 'You love me',
That you'll do anything for me.
Try to make me happy,
Make me smile when I'm sad.
Yet everyday that passes, it seems so wrong.
Wrong to see that you are trying
To change who I am.
You want me to be everything that you want.
You take me down with harsh words,
Trying to get me to behave just right.
Like the person who you want me to be.
So I close the door between you and me.
I will have to deal with it for a while longer,
But soon enough I will walk out that door
And close it between you and me.
You never carried what I thought,
You never though I would try anything.
Just watch, because this is what you've done
Just watch and look
I will close the door between you and me
And never return.
