Closer Poem by Boyan Deam

Closer

Rating: 5.0

How much closer can we get to the dying seed of stars. Lying naked on
the porch of forever and......has begun. A set of wings and a loaded
shotgun.......carry me home, carry me back to no reality......take
me to the endless star and wish upon the one you are, .... I may see
you from a far, .........but may not be who you think I are. You may
recognize my face, ......in another, trace......back my footsteps, find
me......when you are crying laying, ......dying.... I am here.

In January, no less than 9 overfed and overpaid ignorant men who think the world is their personal sandbox tried to block me on my path. One ignoramus tried to run me over with his motorized Tonka truck; another, a glutton, tried to run me over with his hot rod.

On the morning of the 29th of August, I completed my next fitness goal: a pentathlon. On my mind when I wanted to quit was one word: closer.

I've never written a poem before. I thought I would give it a try here, being inspired by you and the intriguing poems I've read on this site which were written by other great poets, such as Shakespeare, who I see inspires your work. My original poem goes like this, Boyan Boyan fofoyan bananafananafofoyan feefifofoyan, lonmondonengoyan, teetietotoyan, Boyan! Well, it may not be original, I think I've heard it somewhere before, perhaps it came to me in a dream, but in Hollywood some people believe that if they alter someone's work just a bit by changing a word that it then qualifies as their own original work.
