Hopefully those butterflies never fly away
Hopefully your feelings will always be the same
I want this to be happily ever after
To never go a day without each other's laughter
I want to be silly with you & run through puddles
Then when the day is done, in bed we cuddle
To have your scent, your warmth embrace me
To be with you in harmony
No more impediments, no more distance
Just the two of us in coexistence
I want to feel the warmth of you around me as I sleep
To have a physical feelings to show our love is deep
To no longer have to read the words you say
To finally hear your voice & see you each day
I can't wait until we're no longer remote
To have you with me & hold you close
I want to see your beautiful eyes
As they stare deeply into mine
To have our hands touch and slowly interwine
For you to be here and to be all mine
It's all I think about at night as I lay
But what gives me hope is that we're closer each day
