Clover And Amethyst Poem by Reynaldo Casison

Clover And Amethyst

Rating: 5.0

Insatiable this appetite
Clover and amethyst
To make festive with Solace
Every teardrop
Every anchor moored in a sea of flailing pores

The glaze whips the bosom of my eyelids
With sublime delight and ache

Though I yearn for some Rejuvenating sleep and loving wine

Yet insomnia is one frisky maiden
And a generous damsel,
I clothe with garlands
And rarest jelly for the Supreme benediction,
Of its blessed fields and granular islands,
Bespeaking the fine husks of raisins and cucumber
Swollen grapes, Tremendous with Caress

I commune with flair and modesty
Raw and tenderly as an enchanting stroll,
Upon the majestic warmth of beachsand,
Praying for your soul,
To soar in from the foam of the ocean

And a coveful of pleasant jazz,
Trilling clovers and amethyst
To gift her dance
