Coffee Poem by Samson Joseph

Coffee

Today my coffee is served
with tears from the newspaper
reading eyes. Paralyzing

us to the prison of life.
Yet, the corruption continues.
'Modern Day Sodom', should be

the title of this very
day and age. Lets drink to that.
Hungry mouths 'fed' by golden

arches with their zombie food;
it doesn't grow or know
of mold. Processed drugs on a

bun, executed with the
oppressing sodium to
keep your endorphins whacked out

on wanting more. Ask yourself
this small, yet simple question:
'Am I free or just a slave? '
