Coffee Poem by Tess Lauren

Coffee

The coffee I drank that day
Was bitter
But the taste in my mouth
After talking to you
Was worse.
We sat in a Starbucks
Both drinking coffee
And both thinking of what to say.
Both with different feelings
And neither wanting to say a word
We sat there listening
And watching the people
Go about buying and drinking coffee
And no one showed their emotions
Including you.
You said goodbye
And left.
And that was it
It was over.
I threw away my coffee
And left.
