Dear Coffee Mug,
It all started with you
In a shining armor on the top most shelf
Beaming and glittering the "Coffee First" quote.
"Can I drink Chocolate milk in that mug? "
Couldn't resist my mother to laugh on my innocence
And she bought me the prince charming.
Chocolate came first and then the coffee
I grew into 3 am-craving-for-coffee person
From the morning only savory.
You kept my coffee warm in winters
And cold in summers,
Washing off my sins and wants
And giving me the greatest pleasure
In the strangest form.
You saw me in my wildest midnight transformation,
And you saw me as a drained sloth in noon.
Mocked at me about the sudden adrenaline rush I felt
From just 3 heaps of coffee and milk.
It was you, who saw my recipe change
From mild to strong needs.
I guess, you heard my cries
And you heard my 5 kind of laughters,
And still chose to never break and crumble.
Never judged my drowsy face
And never judged my broken heart
You never judged my 1 week crush
And never judged the cheesy talks.
We're thick as thieves since I was 10
To gang up at nightmares and clowns.
Saw me walking the tattered path
Withering and crumbling like brownies.
Saw me grow from kiddish 10 year gal
To this self-dependant woman at 20.
Saw my friends change from
Anjali to Manan,
And from replacing movies with books
Amd saw my genres change from fiction to spiritual.
You aren't just a mug I drool upon,
But you're the camera capturing my truth.
In this world, where temporary is also temporary,
You stayed concrete in my permanency.
And chose loving me unconditionally.
It's a secret I'll keep
About your existence which isn't non-living
And about your love which isn't less than Shakespeare's novel.
Yours and always yours,
Coffee addict.
