Coincidence Of Fate Poem by Cody Allan Turner

Coincidence Of Fate

The full moon settles the raging sea
From waters surface the ocean has no floor
Two ships both with purpose to be free
Crash on the calmest night upon the same shore
A soul from each straddles to the sand
By some coincidence of fate, above
Cast with mountains darker than the night
Meeting with a sense of unexplored love
The world shrank into that moment
For their connection alone unified
All of earth, and truth exposed, death a fine
Companion of birth. What could stop them?
For the night dreams were satisfied,
Though awaits the day’s disdain
Time’s beating heart quit as they sang to the sky
Their voices carried across the ocean’s plain.
