Cold As Eachother Poem by Claire Jones

Cold As Eachother

You said it was my fault
And I blamed you
We're as cold as each other
Now what do we do?

Its time to discover
Who's right and who's wrong
I didn't cheat on you
That wasn't my thong.

You didn't believe me
And I understood
I couldn't explain it
You wished that I would.

I told you to trust me
As you lay in my bed
Your just going to tease me
Was all that you said.

I showed you how to love me
And you wanted some more
From somewhere inside
You started to explore.

I opened your eyes
To love and to pain
I didn't realise
You'd never be the same.

We took it for granted
And ruined something good
We're as cold as each other
Both misunderstood.
