Cold Hors D'Oeuvres Poem by Keith Langdon

Cold Hors D'Oeuvres

Rating: 2.0

Sugar-glazed driveways
reflect licorice branches
that beckon meringue mounds
spattered with stone sprinkles
along granola streets.
Coconut breezes caress divinity lawns,
and raisin sparrows dot frosted hedges.
Garden a’ la mode,
and rock candy eaves
surround cotton candy chimneys –

(and still I have no appetite for winter)
