Coldwalls Poem by Patricia Andrade

Coldwalls

I have the outside is in the distance untouchable as time stands still.
Letters drawn to make words.
Words create emotions painted on bricks.
Lives destroyed
Fears heartbreak tears
Written in colors of hurt
Could a shoulda wish I didn't
But now I'm here
Needing to express and free my mind
Welcome to my hell
A closed door without a key
Staring for hours at names of lost souls
Hell has no clock
Brain on full
Lots of pain felt deep
Life is lost within these walls
