Collecting Poem by Jimmie Fancher

Collecting

Rating: 5.0

You started collecting a long time ago,
I don't know how much more you have to go.
You told me of all the things you have found.
And told me how you had them sitting all around.
You have so many things old and new.
I really like to know what they mean to you.
I know they remind you of things and places.
I wonder if any of them make you remember my face.
I know this took you many, many years.
I wonder if you have a bottle of my tears.
The last thing you collected was my heart.
Please don't put on a shelf like a piece of art.
