College Friend Poem by Ging Ollado

There was a girl I met in school
T'was in a SocSci class afternoon
She was sitting next to me near the door
Asking her name and smiled cool.

I thought she was that quite girl I've ever seen
But days passed by when she learned to change
She started to talk with others and making friends
Telling funny jokes wherever she has been

Yesterday, she was only a stranger
But now after a month, she was now my friend
T'was a pleasure to me to be a part of her
She's special, swear! I really don't pretend!

Now she started to tell me about herself
About her life, family, friends and love life
And confessed me about her burdens
Which really breaks my heart.


That girl had a big heart indeed
Which definitely had much love to give
But suddenly her heart was sick
And surely not know how much she can save.


I told her not to give up
'Coz for every problem there's a way out
And if tonight you're worried about the dark
Don't be scared, there's tomorrow for the sunrise.



4 months later..t'was late September
We had a school affair and..
T'was during our Accountancy week
When she found the guy who made her heart beats

That guy courted her patiently
And showed much love for her
Though, she wanted to respond wholeheartedly
Still don't know how and when.
