Colors Poem by September Kuhn

Colors

All the colors have changed
My eyes have gone gray
Misguided silence
Leads me here today
Words fall out
Like a mountain avalanche
One sweet ugly memory
My life like a broken tree branch
My mind all a fluttered
Dark and decay
I might have missed you once, but not today
I sit all alone smiling surprising
Dull and dusty, my worlds not exciting
But the message I share have brought me through
Like the wind on my shoulders, and the angels I new
Letter by letter, the things you had said
I promise to get over the night you fled
